Riptide: Season Three

Now joined by new police Lieutenant Joanna Parisi (June Chadwick), the two vets and

the computer geek of the Riptide Detective Agency spend the final season solving a wide

variety of cases involving serial killers, minor league baseball teams, missing Shakespeare

manuscripts, international spies, famous oceanographers, and an eccentric millionaire. 

The third season includes the episode “If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Join ‘Em” - an homage to

the Bruce Willis-Cybill Shepherd series Moonlighting that poked good natured fun not only at their

fellow 1980s comedy-adventure-detective-series, but also against the entire genre of TV detectives. 

Also featured is an episode entitled “Echoes” directed by series star Perry King and the

fondly remembered holiday episode “Home for Christmas.”

Season Three guest stars include Richard Hatch (Battlestar Galactica), Larry Linville

(M*A*S*H), Richard Sanders (WKRP in Cincinnati), Cesar Romero (Batman), Terry Kiser

(Weekend at Bernie’s), Elinor Donahue (Father Knows Best), and comedian Richard Lewis.
