Kate & Allie: Season Four

Kate McArdle (Susan Saint James from McMillan & Wife) and Allie Lowell

(Saturday Night Live alumni Jane Curtin) are two divorcees who have been friends since high school.

In an effort to save money and provide mutual emotional support for each other, they decide to share an

apartment in New York City. Naturally, there problems arise. Between them they have three children who

cause incessant mayhem, and Kate and Allie themselves have decidedly different lifestyles. Kate is

glamourous, modern, and frivolous, while Allie is old-fashioned, proper, and meticulous to a fault. 

This season also stars Ari Meyers as Emma Jane McArdle, Allison Smith as Jennie Lowell,

Frederick Koehler as Chip Lowell and Paul Hecht as Charles Lowell.
